Chris Randazzo

 

Chris Randazzo brings a distinguished 23-year track record to the current portfolio by providing strategic sales and marketing planning, investment analysis, and operational execution. He has over 15 years of private investment experience in software, distribution, manufacturing, and real estate, and has equivalent years of experience in all aspects of the deal life cycle for these investment classes, from deal origination to close to operational execution.

Previously, Chris served in senior sales and marketing roles for enterprise and vertically focused software and technology companies. Prior to Main Line Equity Partners, he completed a leveraged a buyout of Phoenix Integration, a software solution for model-based engineering, a software and systems development paradigm that emphasizes the application of visual modeling principles and best practices throughout the system development lifecycle, allowing for engineering simulation, design, and knowledge organization. The company had a compound annual growth rate of 19% over the last 10 years with investors receiving an 8.7x return representing a 123% IRR. Chris was embedded as the COO and VP of Sales & Marketing for over 6 years during that time helping to drive the significant growth.

Chris maintains oversight of Main Line Equity Partners’ Alternative Asset Fund I and its CFO and third-party advisors. He also represents the investor side of the business, dealing with all reporting and investor related issues. Chris is part of the investment committee that ultimately determines which deals the Fund pursues.

Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University.

Mark Gorman

 

Mark Gorman has over 24 years of finance experience, including 18 years in private equity and the alternative investment industry. He is actively involved in three of Main Line Equity Partners’ portfolio companies—CEO at Matrix Solutions and lead advisor to SmarterServices and Cianflone Scientific.

Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Mark had built and grown a boutique investment bank, the largest transaction being the sale of an approximately $60 million mortgage services company to WL Ross. In addition, he spent 6 years as a Partner and Portfolio Manager of Attalus Capital, a fund of hedge funds that grew from $60 million to almost $3 billion of assets under management during his tenor. Mark ran approximately 80% of the portfolio (relative value, event driven and macro/CTA strategies). His other experience includes Vice President of the Buyout Business Unit at Hamilton Lane Advisors, allocating approximately $2 billion a year, Associate at the CoreStates Enterprise Capital Group, a $400 million mezzanine fund, and he has received formal credit training.

Mark oversees and manages the investment operations of Main Line Equity Partners’ Alternative Asset Fund I. He is engaged with both managing the employees involved in the investment side of the business as well as structuring, negotiating, and shepherding deals to close. Mark is part of the investment committee that ultimately determines which deals the Fund pursues. He also oversees and manages the operating partners at Matrix Solutions, SmarterServices, and Cianflone Scientific.

Mark holds a J.D. and M.B.A with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.A. in both Political Science and German from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim Mayhall

 

Over 20 years of experience as a strategic sales leader, business development executive, and healthcare technology investor.

Jim uses his industry expertise to cultivate and grow Main Line Equity Partners’ portfolio companies and support new investment opportunities within the healthcare vertical.

Previously served as an investor and business development leader with several mid stage and start up companies culminating in multiple exits totaling $250 Million + in enterprise value.

Jim holds a B.A. in Political Science with an Economics minor from Villanova University.

Douglas B. Hart

 

Doug has 30 years of extensive experience as an Owner, Operator, and Advisor of small to mid-market businesses across a wide variety of manufacturing and consumer product industries—leading Operations, Sales, and New Product Development.

From 2015 – 2019, he served Main Line Equity Partners, as an Operating Partner focused on its Cianflone Scientific Group, a test and measurement equipment manufacturer with operations in Pittsburgh, PA and Longmont, CO. Prior to joining MLEP, Doug served as Director and COO for a privately owned composite materials manufacturer for the Medical Devices, Aerospace, Military, and Outdoor Recreational products industries (Uretek-Archer); established Hart Advisory Group, a successful small to mid-market business advisory firm focused on driving client sales, income, and enterprise growth through best of breed operating practices across all phases of operations; and co-owned an international manufacturer of engineered industrial consumable products with five divisions and 1,200 employees in the U.S., Europe, and Asia (Reeves Brothers, Inc.), at which time he served as President and COO for all operations of Reeves Automotive Airbag Group where he oversaw the startup and growth of this division into the largest coated airbag fabric manufacturer in North and South America. Doug was also an AVP of a pension fund investment group (Smith Barney’s Sentinel Real Estate Corporation).

He has broad contacts within the management consulting, banking, private equity, audit, executive compensation, search, and legal professions and holds a B.S. in Urban Studies and Economics from Hobart College.

Richard DeFelice

 

Rich DeFelice brings over 10 years of experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and mergers & acquisitions. At Main Line Equity Partners, he works across the entirety of the deal lifecycle from initial origination through due diligence and closing. Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Rich worked in Strategy and Corporate Development at Westinghouse where he worked on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures ranging in size from $500,000 through $300 million. His other experience includes investment banking with Ventura Group and consulting with Charles River Associates, where he specialized in valuation, litigation, and forensic accounting services.

Rich’s role in Main Line Equity Partners’ Alternative Asset Fund I is working on both the front and back office roles of the business. In the front office role, he leads the deal flow, structuring terms, performing due diligence, and working to bring deals to close. He is part of the investment committee that ultimately determines which deals the Fund pursues. In his back office role, Rich manages at least three different portfolio investments for the Fund, both as a director and in an operating capacity.

Rich graduated valedictorian from Carnegie Mellon University where he received an M.B.A. in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy. He graduated cum laude from Villanova University with a B.S. in Business Administration, double majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems.

Chief Financial Officer

Curt Emerick

 

Curt serves as a hands-on Chief Financial Officer for Main Line Equity Partners, acting as a trusted resource for various portfolio companies. He oversees accounting, reporting, cash management, HR, and administration to help Main Line Equity Partners’ operating managers achieve their goals.

Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Curt spent over 20 years working in various accounting and management roles in the software/technology industry.

Curt holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) form Geneva College.

Brandon Spradlin

 

Brandon Spradlin has over 15 years as an operations executive, combining both civilian and military leadership experience with a primary focus in the recycling and waste services industry. He is actively involved in one of Main Line Equity Partners’ portfolio companies—President at American Box and Recycling Company, a Philadelphia-based corrugate wholesaler founded in 1956.

Previously, Brandon served as President at Eurofins QC, a multi-million dollar, multi-site water microbiology laboratory and field services organization. Before that he held various leadership roles at Republic Services, a Fortune 500 recycling and waste services company. His roles included General Manager (Tulsa, OK), Manager of Development Programs, Manager of Business Transformation (Phoenix, AZ), and Operations Manager (Las Vegas, NV).

He has also been a member of the Army National Guard for 16 years, and currently holds the rank of Major. His military experience includes various roles, such as Executive Director of Operations, General Manager, Human Resources Manager, and Operations Manager.

Brandon holds an M.S. in Human Resources Development from Villanova University, an M.B.A. from American Military University, and a B.S. in Psychology and Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.
